Behavioral Contrast

What is Behavioral Contrast in ABA?

Behavioral contrast refers to a phenomenon where a change in the rate or intensity of reinforcement for one behavior leads to a corresponding change in the opposite direction for another behavior. For example, if reinforcement for one behavior increases, the behavior that receives less reinforcement may decrease.
