What is Nonexclusion Time-Out in ABA?

Nonexclusion time-out is a technique where an individual is required to remain in the same environment or setting but loses access to reinforcement or is removed from ongoing reinforcement opportunities for a specified period of time following an inappropriate behavior. It restricts access to reinforcement as a consequence for the behavior.
