What is Stimulus Blocking in ABA?

Stimulus blocking occurs when a more salient or prominent stimulus in a compound stimulus prevents or interferes with the acquisition or conditioning of a response to a less salient stimulus. The presence of one stimulus “blocks” the response to another stimulus.
